Yttrium is a kind of rare earth metal with gray black appearance. The chemical symbol is Y. The melting point is 1522 ℃. The boiling point is 3338 ℃. The relative atomic mass is 89. The atomic number is 39. Yttrium is the first rare earth metal to be discovered. Yttrium has ductility, can react with hot water, and is soluble in dilute acid.
